I AM
Name for God. At the burning bush "I AM" spoke to Moses Genesis 3:14-15. See Yahweh
Incarnation
"in" + "flesh" term used to describe Christ who is God taking on a "tent." John 1:14.

Inspiration
On a sliding scale view range relating God's activity and man's activity in the creation of the Bible:
1) Mechanical dictation in which man is only a typewriter
2) God moved with men to create a Book which was his words while at the same time reflected the culture, character, and personality of the writer.
3) Man was "inspired" as any other author. God has no part in the revelation.

Interpretation
WHAT IT IS. Related to the way the a text is 1) changed from one language to another and 2) the way a particual test is understood.
TYPES: Allegory, Literal, Symbolic, Transliterated
Israel
Care must be used in using and defining Israel. The historical context must be considered when using Israel.
FATHER OF ISRAEL - Abraham's great-grand son who had twelve sons. These 12 sons became the Twelve Tribes of Israel.
ISRAEL - used to describe the peoples who descended from Jacob (Israel).
DIVIDED KINGDOM - During the Divided Kingdom Israel describes the Ten (10) Northern Tribes. The Southern Tribes were identified as Judah.
