PANORAMIC VIEW:

The Tabernacle was a portable worship center which YHWH instructed Moses and the Hebrew people to construct which at Mount Sinai in the wilderness.

The Tabernacle was the first of four tents. Everything else was "made for the tabernacle."

Moving toward the worship from the east you would see:

• Linen curtain fence with linen curtain gate
• Brazen (brass) altar for sacrifices and offerings
• A brazen laver for washing
• Four tents made of various materials
• A rectangular shaped enclosure made of gold covered boards.
• A veil (door) in the east end
• Inside the enclosure
  • On your right a table with 12 loaves of bread
  • In front of you an altar for burning the special incense
  • To your left a 7 candle candle stick (actually burring oil)
• A second veil dividing the enclosure into 2 parts
  • Inside the Holy of Holies
    • Ark of the covenant

YHWH gave very specific instructions to Moses about the design of this structure. A pillar of fire and cloud covered was over the tabernacle.

The Tabernacle was replaced by the Temple which Solomon build. 

Temple replaced the Tabernacle.
